Farmhouse Quilts: Garden Birdhouses 18" x 24"

     My backyard garden filled with birdhouses is a variation of one of my single block designs in the "Mailbox Birdhouses" quilt.  I've expanded the original design to make this bright little wall quilt.  The 3 dimensional flowers climbing the birdhouse poles welcome birds of every color to their new homes.  Welcome Spring into your home with these happy little Garden Birdhouses.

     The quilt is made with raw edge applique and bordered with pieced Flying Geese.   I've used my Liberty Homestead hand dyed, sueded cottons in bright colors for the whole quilt.  The kit will include these fabrics along with embroidery floss for the little birdy feet, tiny black buttons for the eyes, and ric-rac for the roof trim.
